Answer: The boat departs from Playa Herradura, located just 10 minutes north of downtown Jaco. We provide ground transportation from your Jaco hotel to the launch site.
Answer: Yes. In Montezuma, the boat pulls up directly to the beach. You should expect to wade through calf-deep water to get to the shore. We recommend wearing water shoes or sandals and shorts.
Answer: Standard tickets include one large suitcase or backpack (up to 22kg/50lbs) and one small carry-on. Surfboards and oversized gear can be accommodated for a small additional fee (usually $10-$20)—please notify us in advance.
Answer: While wildlife sightings aren’t guaranteed, the Gulf of Nicoya is a biological hotspot. It is very common to see dolphins year-round, and Humpback whales are frequently spotted during their migration seasons (July through October and January through March).
Answer: Safety is our priority. If the captain determines the sea conditions are too rough for a safe crossing, we will either reschedule your trip or provide a full refund. We monitor wind and swell charts daily.
Answer: Small pets are generally allowed but must be in a travel crate. Please contact us before booking to ensure space is available on your specific departure.
Answer: Absolutely! Kids love the adventure and the chance to see dolphins. We provide life jackets for all sizes, including infants and children.
